Juliland was the wildly imaginative erotic photography project created by photographer Richard Avery and Juli Ashton. Known for its bold colors, playful energy, unconventional imagery, and unmistakable visual style, Juliland became one of the most distinctive names in alternative erotic photography.
The photography was anything but polished or predictable. Avery’s images combined erotic portraiture, colorful sets, playful compositions, and a deliberately chaotic sense of fun, creating a visual universe that felt completely different from conventional glamour photography.
Although the original Juliland site is no longer operating in its former form, Richard Avery’s work continues to live on through the Juliland archives and retrospective collections. The current Juliland site features selections from his extensive photographic archive, including its “From the Vault” galleries.
